Maarif School is seeking passionate and dedicated Elementary Homeroom Teachers for all grade levels. As an Islamic school, we uphold a learning environment grounded in respect, integrity, and strong character, and we welcome teachers who support this mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core subjects (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies) in alignment with academic standards and school expectations.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Monitor student progress and maintain consistent communication with families and administration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and uphold the school’s mission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
- Willingness to work in and support the environment of an Islamic school.

About Us
Maarif School is a Pre-K through 12th private school that operates under the auspices of the Maarif Foundation USA. With challenging curricula that meets or exceeds NJ and national standards, we teach all the core subjects in addition to Turkish, Arabic, Islamic studies, and Qur’an. We strive to foster intellectual curiosity and to raise children to be self-reliant, critical thinkers. We place great importance on the Islamic manners, morals and ethics that will help to create justice and equity in our society.
Maarif School is a diverse and caring community of learners. Our college preparatory program has enabled our high school students to earn early college credits through Montclair State University, and to gain acceptance and scholarships to such universities as Penn State, Seton Hall, SUNY, Rutgers, New Jersey Institute of Technology, The College of New Jersey, and Stevens Institute of Technology.
